Community Cremation Scattering Day

The Visalia Public Cemetery has scheduled the fifth annual Cremation Scattering
Day. The Cremation Scattering Day event will assist families to transition from
possession of their loved one’s urn to a permanent resting place in the Visalia
Cemetery. When utilizing one of our scattering gardens, families can lay their
loved one to rest in a respectable, meaningful, and affordable manner.

A brief service will be held prior to the burial. The Cemetery has two scattering
gardens available to choose from: Eagle Niche Scattering Garden and the Angel
Scattering Garden (urns are not used in these types of burials).

The total cost is $ 350.00. In addition, a non-resident fee may apply. After the
burial, the decedent’s name, date of birth, and date of death will be scheduled for
engraving on the statue pedestal of the scattering garden.

Please call (559) 734-6181 or visit the Visalia Cemetery before October 18, 2023,
to allow ample time for processing the required paperwork, signature(s), and
payment.

Forms of payment include cashier’s check, money order, credit card (with an
additional 3% convenience fee), and debit card (without additional fee). Credit
and debit card holders(with an I.D.) must be present in the Cemetery Office at the
time of payment processing.
