Roberta Stephens
Roberta Stephens is a Central Valley native, born and raised in Lemoore, California. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from California State University, Fresno and has dedicated her career to strengthening communities and expanding opportunities for children and families.
Roberta began her professional career in nutrition education programs, including Head Start, before joining the Southern California Gas Company. In 1994, she founded Medical Billing Technologies, Inc., a company that helps school districst throughout California access funding for critical student health services. Over the course of 30 years, she played a significant role in the growth and advancement of California's school-based health reimbursement programs, advocating for students, families, and the services that support educational success.
Since retiring, Roberta has remained committed to community service. She serves on the boad of Success and Recovery, a nonprofit supporting at-risk and foster youth, and is an active member of P.E.O. Chapter HF, which raises funds for educational scholarships for women at the local, state and national levels.
Roberta enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren, whether volunteering at their schools, taking them on adventures, or hosting activities at home. In her free time, she enjoys pickleball, golf, fitness, and spending time with family and friends.
