Welcome to Visalia Public Cemetery
The Main Gate is located at the intersection of Giddings and Goshen, a block north of the Rawhide Stadium.
The main gate is open from about sun up to sun down.
Delta Vector Control District has found evidence of the invasive mosquito Aedes Aegypti in our cemetery. All flower vases and containers need to be turned over to eliminate standing water. We ask the public’s assistance in our efforts by turning over the vases at your loved one’s grave sites and by not bringing flowers until the mosquito has been eliminated from this area. We are working closely with Delta Vector Control District and questions or concerns can be addressed by them or cemetery staff.
Groups, Service Clubs or any Members of the public that wish to volunteer their assistance with cemetery clean up efforts can call Cindy Summers, District Manager at 559-734-6181 for more information.
Cleaning and landscaping are ongoing and constant in order to preserve the beauty and safety of our cemetery. Flower and memorial items placed on stones may be moved or thrown away to aid in these beautification and safety efforts. Nothing should be placed on or in the ground. The cemetery is a very large open public space and occasionally there are instances of theft. Items of value should not be left unattended in the cemetery. For more information, see the Flower and Memorial Policy under Documents on the Services Offered tab and the Report Crime tab. This policy is also posted at the cemetery. Any questions or concerns should be directed to the District Manager, Cindy Summers at 734-6181. Thank you for your understanding and assistance in keeping our Visalia Public Cemetery as clean, beautiful and safe as it can be.
